Moments of Grace
Have you ever been in the thick of a blissful moment, and paused to think whoa, how did I get here? This wasn't the trajectory, or plan you had for yourself and yet there you are. Happy as a bee, who could have guessed it? Some mornings, when I arrive in my classroom looking out at the soon-to-be filled 27 seats for my students, I have these moments of self-reflection that fill my heart with gratitude. How did I get here? Grace got me here. To a position that requires me to be present, a position that requires me to face my fears daily, a position that requires me to become comfortable with being uncomfortable.
I fought becoming a teacher for quite some time, but there was always a deep seed in my heart. When I was a young girl I had terrible anxiety surrounding public speaking. I mean my hands would get clammy, my voice would quiver, and my knees would buckle. This fear followed me throughout early adulthood. If you would have told me 20 years later, I would become a Teacher, I would not have believed you! When I look back on this fear, it’s easy to see that what is meant for you will come together almost in spite of you, that is grace. Grace is living on the other side of fear, with arms wide open- come what may. Through moments of reflection it’s easy to see how rejections and redirections all lead you to where you need to be here in the present.
Moments like this, where you don’t have the answers, yet you feel so aligned with your passion and purpose- these are moments of grace. When you pause to reflect on a particular experience, and you can’t conjure up words for it- being thankful is enough. When you’re feeling like wow is this really all happening for me? You have to believe that yes, it’s happening for you. And if it’s not happening for you yet, manifest it right now as if it’s already yours. The universe meets us at the intersection of action and intention, babes. The thing is you have to believe you’re worthy and deserving of these moments because well, you are. There is no ounce of luck that can get you there, and when you arrive just know that it’s grace you’re experiencing.
It is in the inexplicable experiences that we begin to see that we are being guided. To trust that we are being guided means that even our “missteps” are all part of our life’s blueprint. Moments of grace reaffirm that for us.
In what ways have you experienced a moment of grace?
Love and light,

"The thing is you have to believe you’re worthy and deserving of these moments because well, you are." I needed to hear that. Thank you.
